George Baroud is Assistant Professor of Latin Historiography and Roman Culture. His primary research interests are Greek and Roman historiography, especially Tacitus; the literature, politics, culture, and history of the early Roman empire; and the philosophy of history. George is also interested in global approaches to Classics and works on the literary and cultural interactions between the Graeco-Roman and Arab/Islamic Worlds. His publications examine diverse aspects of the early imperial Roman and include topics such as exemplarity, friendship, reading culture, cultural memory, and migration.
