Serenella Iovino specializes in environmental humanities, but her work encompasses many fields, from ecological literary criticism and animal studies to environmental philosophy and landscape anthropology. An essayist and public intellectual, she’s author and editor of twelve books. For several years, she has been collaborating with newspapers and other mass media. She loves teaching and has spent her life interacting with and learning from animals (both human and nonhuman ones), and has a soft spot for chickens, dogs, and bees. Happy place: Venice. Favorite meal: a lot of fruit, plus a slice of pizza.
