More than two decades ago, Professor Gurvich was also a first-year student at Carolina. After graduating with degrees in political science and Spanish, she attended Harvard Law School. After years at a large law firm practicing patent and appellate litigation, she came home to Carolina, where, she teaches various legal writing courses at the Law School and has won multiple teaching awards from students and colleagues. Outside of school, she enjoys spending time with her young children, British TV and literature, and ballroom dancing. Professor Gurvich is elated to be co-teaching with her mentor and favorite professor of all time.
