Liesbet Hooghe is the W.R. Kenan Professor of Political Science at UNC-Chapel Hill and Robert Schuman Fellow at the European University Institute, Florence. Her research interests are in political behavior (elites, political parties, public opinion), multilevel governance and decentralization, European integration, international organization. In 2017 she received the Daniel Elazar Distinguished Scholar Award for Federalism and Intergovernmental Relations of the APSA. Hooghe’s recent co-authored books include The European Commission in the 21st Century (OUP, 2013); Measuring Regional Authority (OUP, 2016); Community, Scale and Regional Governance (OUP, 2016); and Measuring International Authority (OUP, 2017).
